Hey friends, hi to all of you. Recently, Windows 8 came to our hands so we decided to do a review for you. Windows 8 is the successor of already so successful Windows 7 and People at
Microsoft say it Fast,Fluid,Beautiful. We will check that too. So, Let`s start:
The very first difference comes from boot screen, which has a Modern UI based Windows logo and a new revolving circle. It booted up in around 10 seconds making it fastest booting OS available in the market.
The log in screen is also Modern UI based and has solid colors and User name and password field.
Now, the main thing Microsoft is touting, the Modern UI. Windows Directly boots into new start menu having Modern UI as shown below:
This is buttery smooth with the animation, and there is no lag in the UI what so ever.
You can get an aggregate view of start menu by holding down Ctrl and rolling the middle mouse button downwards:
Well, arranging the tiles is easy too, just drag tile wherever you want to fit and Windows will make space for it automatically:
But one disappointing thing Microsoft has done is that screens having resolution below 1024x768 wont be able to run metro apps, our review screen had 1280x720 resolution, still it didn`t work, showing up error like this:
We cheated and changed the resolution to give you look of metro apps.
Music, Video and Entertainment
The music app is way easy to use, all of your songs are in same place, a single tap to song reveal option to play song, it looks fast and good.
The video app concentrates on videos and noting else. All stuff in one place and single click will play your media.
Same goes with Photos, cool stuff, we like your effort Microsoft.
