Hey friends, in windows we know run command has it`s own importance. We use it for our ease. But all programs are not supported by it. But we have found a way to use it for all programs so that you can run almost everything from a run command. So, follow the easy steps to get it done:
- Make a run command (Windows Key+R) and type in it Regedit.
- A screen like this will appear:
- Now, in the left navigation pane, move on to following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths
- In this, all the shortcuts are saved. So, to create a new shortcut, right click any folder and then New>Key
- Name it what you want the name of the shortcut. For example, I created vipad.exe for Vipad Launcher. (Note: Adding .exe in end is necessary after the name of shortcut.)
- Now in right pane, you will see a string named default:
- Double click it, a dialog box will appear like this:
- In value data, enter the location of original executable file (Usually found in C:/Program Files/<Program Name>/file.exe), or right click the executable and in properties, get the address.
Note: Path musty be entered correctly or you will get error.
